Team Trials - European Freestyle Championships 2008
After taking into consideration the reponses from the community with regards the provisional Team Trail events the committee have decided on the below the process for the selection of the Irish National Team for the 2008 European Freestyle Championships.
Team Size:
- K1 Surface Mens - 5
- K1 Surface Womens - 3
- K1 Surface Junior Men - 4
- K1 Surface Junior Women - 3
- 1 reserve per category
Selection Events:
- Event 1 – Sluice, Dublin – December 15/16th
- Event 2 – Clifden, Galway – December 22/23rd
- Event 3 – Curragower, Limerick – January 12/13th
Each competitor's best 2 event results will be counted.
- The committee will endeavour to complete each event on the Saturday of each event weekend. This will be dependent on competitor numbers, dam releases and tides, so the Sundays may be needed.
- Events are pre-registration only. Registrations can be sent to competitions@irishfreestyle.com
- Registration closes 6.00pm Thursday 13th of December, 2007. Please include your name, the category you wish to enter, events you will attend and your Irish Canoe Union membership number.
- The event locations are dependent on dam releases and may be subject to change at short notice.

Entry to Team Selections is €30 per competitor, for all events.
Each competitor must be a registered member of the ICU or Freestle Club. Membership can be purchased at each event for €10.

Anyone know what the water levels in Sluice will be like? Any chance of the event being finished in one day?
Do local paddler realise there'll be event on Saturday and Sunday, don't really want a million scouts paddling through those days.
