C1 Session Day.
Howdy folks,
After a recent bit of interest over the last week or so ine the fine art of C1 paddling. I gave the few heads I know a shout who are of that perusation and looks like we are going to try hold a bit of a C1 session day. Louation probaly will be sluice in Dublin. Date as not confirmed yet but late March/April subject to free dates in the event calander (Freestyle/Surf).
The idea would be to get as many C1 paddlers together to see can we learn anything of each other and perhaps even encourage the sport a little. All will be welcome for C1 playboats OC1 (eg spanishfly) slalom and racing C1's too. I am hoping to have a few extra boatson hand so that anyone who fancied giving it a shot can come along too and see what they make of the whole thing.
It is all a bit up in the air but will know more stuff over next few weeks. Just to give us an idea of numbers and how many extra boats we should try get I would appricate if people might drop me an email at adrianshanahan@gmail.com.

Let me know if this works out. I might try to drop over from Switzerland for a few days to check out and join in. Spring is tough for me though, so no guarantees.
If anyone is interested, I've been organising a gathering in Switzerland the last 2 years and am doing so again in late May. This year we go to the Bregenzer Ache (Austria) and then the Vorderrhein (Switzerland) May 22-25. More info at:

i only recently delved into c1 - and cant get enough of it right now - would like to be able to talk to people who know what they are doing
End of April / Start of May, just p to my eyes in work havent had too much free timw to sort anything. Details to be posted in next few weeks.

Id be well up for it if racing C1s are welcome,being dying to try a freestyle C1 for quite a while
We had been looking at ways in getting people back in canoes(of any discipline) so this would be an ideal oppurtunity
Il bring along a couple of wildwater racing C1s and a C2 if anyones interested in trying them out also.Il speak to the other lads who I paddle with and try get them along, not trying to influence the dates here but WWKC are away racing from 5th - 13th april,if you cant work around it no problem,but it would be cool to be able to head along
