Hi All,I just got a phone call from a resident on clancy strand.  He has expressed a couple of concerns and I would appreciate if anybody kayaking on the wave could take them into consideration in future when visiting the wave.

Firstly: Please refrain from parking in the small estate behind the bar, the parking there is for residents only and in recent times kayakers have been taking spaces and residents have not been able to park outside their own homes.

Secondly: When you are changing please do so in a discreet manner, cover up as much as possible.  Some of the residnets have been rather upset by the sight of practically naked kayakers, in particular be aware that small children are in some of the homes and they can be particularly upset by this.

The gentleman I spoke with was very polite and has no problem with kayakers in the area and undrstands that we are not there to cause any trouble.  It would be coutious of us to respect the locals and keep our impact on the area a small as possible.

Many thanksMike Jones

On another note, the foreman on the construction site at gower has asked us not to walk through the construction site when walking around (insurance purposes).

He didn't seem to mind us walking around via the rocks on front of the site.

If its just the workers there, they are pretty cool about us walking through the site, even when they are working...but if you see the man in the clean vis jacket just divert your stroll to the rocks at the front, best to keep them happy!

It is easier to gain forgiveness than it is permission...
