My €2000 trip to Sluice

Car got broken into in Sluice car park on the 27th of April.

They first tried to pop my central locking by cutting the cables from the engine to the front passenger door. When that didnt work they smashed the quarter window into my boot (estate).

They went for my trousers in the boot and got away with an empty wallet, which I got back that evening.

The window had to come from volvo and cost €300.

THE DOOR!!!! was deadlocked shut so will need: the panel broken off, and replaced; deadlocks blasted, and replaced; wiring and loom, removed and replaced. All rounding off to a juicy €1500.

ouch!Money mouth

Lesson: just because it appears the car park is too busy for anyone to try anything - assume all bystandards are totally blind; whether they see it or not.

They chucked it, cards, licence and all on the other side of Lucan. Someone picked it up and went to a lot of trouble to get it back to me. Nice of them!

That's shit, sorry to hear that Rur!

Not that it makes much odds, where you parked at the bottom or up the top where only 3/4cars can park? I've started to park down the bottom lately as it's a closer to the road and that little extra chance that somebody would see and say something.
