Hi
I'm from donaghmede and am looking to do some pool sessions this winter .
There's a company that do them in tallaght in a friday night at €35 a pop.
I'd pefare to do them a bit closer to home for a cheaper rate.
I'll give you a shout if i hear of any closer and you might do the same.
cheers Derek
Hiya,
Thanks for all your help guys.
I'm going on a day trip with the ICU on Sunday and will ask for their advice.

Hiya,
The guys I was talking to on Sunday said the ICU would be doing pool sessions over the winter in Clondalkin but didn't know the exact details yet.
Colm
Here is the pool in Clondalkin that Louis was talking about:

Hope it helps,

Hey Colm,
Theres a 25 meter pool in Clondalkin that used to allow you to rent it out for good rates to clubs. Well worth it if you have a bunch of people. I learned to roll one winter at this place after booking a session as part of the since disbanded Blanchardstown Canoe Club. I forget what its called but it shouldn't be hard to find on Google.
Also St.Josephs pool on the Navan road in Cabra do kayak sessions, especially for canoe polo.
The swimming pool in Dublin airport have opened their doors within the passed year for flatwater freestyle kayaking sessions which were easy to organise.
If this isn't enough info for ya try over on the canoe polo site. These guys often train at pools around Dublin during the winter and so should have a much better idea of whats available www.canoepolo.com. Otherwise you can also try sending a mail to the lads at the ICU. www.canoe.ie
I know your question was are there any clubs that already have sessions set up which people can attend over the winter. I don't know of any. If you don't find any, post back up here and the freestyle committee will test the water so to speak to see if there's enough interest to organise an Irish freestyle pool session or two over the winter.
