Emergency Road Closure in Wicklow 

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise motorists that due to storm damage to Ballysmuttan Bridge and the adjoining road the L4377-0 Ballysmuttan to Oldcourt Road is closed until further notice. For safety reasons the public and sightseers are requested not to visit the site.

During this time the following diversions will be in operation:

Motorists travelling from Oldcourt to the Sally Gap should divert via Manor Kilbride by taking the L4372-0 Oldcourt to Manor Kilbride Road via Ballyward.  Motorists should then take divert to the Sally Gap R759 via Manor Kilbride.

Motorists travelling from the Sally Gap to Oldcourt should continue along the R759 to Manor Kilbride.  At Manor Kilbride motorists should take the L4372-0 Manor Kilbride to Oldcourt Road via Ballyward.

All diversions will be signposted.

Please be advised that the L4372-0 Oldcourt to Manor Kilbride Road via Ballyward has now reopened following flooding.
