Hey,

The Tuam gauge was vandalised on Paddys Days.

Little B*****ds took the main control box and smashed it. Luckily i found parts of it lying around and salvaged some of it, hopefully it'll still be useable. The phone is gone so i'll have to replace with a new modem.

hey all. does anyone have any idea if tuam hole will be working this weekend? also, if not, has anyone any info on the oranmore tidel spot? i have its rough location, but will it be working on sunday/monday? does it follow the same rules as clifden (which would make it work about 1pm this sunday if my internet research is right)

 any and all info would be of help, thanks.

Having recently talked to the landowner at the Tuam hole (Mr. Mannion), we have realised that the usual way that people access the Tuam play feature is causing a lot of problems for the landowner. Mr. Mannion is a very nice man, but he is very frustrated with paddlers climbing over the wall along the road to get in.

Do people paddle Tuam much?

 

Do you think its worth having a gauge on the river?

 

I know during the winter Tuam usually runs or at least i think it does, do you often travel there and find it not working wasted trip etc.

 

Let me know. I might be able to get a guage on it
